goals
sophomore year vs. junior year
Sophomore Year
- GOAL #1: Maintain a GPA of 3.75 or higher.
- GOAL #2: Take more than 3 HCC or AP classes per semester.
- GOAL #3: Start studying for the SAT!
I am proud to say that I have maintained my first goal of keeping my GPA above a 3.75. As for my second goal, I am taking 2 AP classes and 3 HCC classes. As for my third goal, I don't feel very confident about the SAT I took in April because it clashed with assignments for HCC classes, so I want to take it again.
Junior Year
- GOAL #1: Get above a 2200 on the SAT!
- GOAL #2: Research colleges and get an idea of what I want to major in!
- GOAL #3: Start applying for scholarships especially as they open in the summertime!
I am only taking two HCC classes this summer so that I can study for the SAT and ACT to take it again after the summer.
A lot of top tier and Ivy League universities require a rough average score of 2200 on the SAT, so that's why I chose this specific number. I have started researching different majors and professions on the internet and on YouTube. As for my third goal, I have started looking into scholarships on FastWeb Scholarships and in the emails that I get from Ms. Casey. I was able to see what the scholarships were like this year, and some of the same ones will be offered again next year, so I want to try to write the essays before hand and then submit them.
