communicate ideas
Students select and apply appropriate tools and strategies to communicate and collaborate effectively, meeting the needs and expectations of diverse individuals and groups.
Subpoint 3:
Select and apply appropriate resources—technology, media, and/or world languages—to communicate and collaborate effectively with diverse individuals and groups.
For this component, I chose a case study project I did with a partner for my Global Business class. It was fun doing this case study with someone who doesn't have the same thinking process as I do, which is one of the pros of working in a group. For the case study, we had to answer a list of questions (below), and we had to come up with various solutions. It was interesting to see how even though my solutions differed from my partner's solutions, they were both still valid solutions. We used a PowerPoint to communicate our findings with the audience, which was just our Global Business class. Everybody in the class had to do the same assignment, so everybody's different ideas and solutions went into an even bigger pool.

In my class for AP Calculus, Mr. Kim makes us pair up with a partner and he assigns problems from the textbook or from previous AP test free response questions. This way, we can work together to figure out solutions to the problems. When we get up to the ELMO, it is very rare for anyone to hit every point Mr. Kim wants us to hit. After we finish presenting, Mr. Kim reviews with the class and fills in on points we might have missed. We have to use resources like our textbooks and the internet to help us solve problems that have some sort of theorem or rule involved. Our class shares answers and different solutions with each other (we are a class of only 7 students).
