Recognize perspectives
Students recognize, articulate, and apply an understanding of different perspectives (including their own).
Subpoint 2:
Explain the perspectives of other people, groups, or schools of thoughts, and identify possible influences on those perspectives, including access to information and
resources.
For this component, I chose my research paper for History 1302 on Malala Yousafzai and how she has changed the world with her voice. I read many interviews of Yousafzai, and I even read her book, I Am Malala to write this paper based on her experiences and perspective. I decided to write my paper on Malala Yousafzai because she has lived in a place where young girls are denied an education, while students here in America don't take full advantage of the resources they are provided. We have our work cut out for us in the U.S., but for Yousafzai, everyday is a risk going to school and not getting caught by religious extremists like the Taliban.

For my global business class, we had to do a cultural analysis on a specific country, and I chose India because I thought it would be the easiest. There were already many things I knew about India and its culture, but I ended up learning a lot more specific things about the country and the people. In a way, I presented to the class the perspectives of Indian people as a whole (and you can't really find anyone better because I'm Indian). A big portion of my presentation went to how international business in India works and how it might influence or be influenced by the rest of the world.
